Visão Geral da Atividade
Uma maneira divertida e fácil de lembrar a ordem dos diferentes tipos de radiação é usando esta mnemónica: “R ed m onkeys i n v ans u se x -ray g moças”. Também é divertido quando seus alunos criam os seus próprios! Nesta atividade, os alunos criarão um gráfico EM Spectrum . Eles devem incluir os usos e perigos de cada tipo de radiação e podem criar seu próprio mnemônico. Os alunos podem usar o gráfico que criaram como revisão e essa atividade pode ser concluída no início ou no final de uma unidade.
Essa atividade pode ser facilmente diferenciada e modificada para seus alunos, removendo linhas e excluindo ou adicionando informações. Corte o gráfico de exemplo e peça aos seus alunos para colocá-lo juntos como um quebra-cabeça. Como alternativa, peça a um aluno ou grupo pequeno que complete uma coluna cada e combine as colunas para criar um espectro completo. Você também pode optar por fazer com que os alunos anotem o comprimento de onda e as faixas de frequência no gráfico, embora isso possa ser difícil, porque muitas vezes as diferentes partes da radiação se sobrepõem e os alunos podem descobrir que os números encontrados variam de site para site.
