  • Perseus is embarrassed that he does not have a gift to give to King Polydectes when he declared he was going to get married, so he declared that he will go off and kill Medusa and bring back her severed head as a present.
  • Reward and the Journey Home 
  • Hermes tells Perseus that he must be properly equipped in order to attack Medusa. He tells him to go to the Gray Women so they can tell him where the nymphs' abode is which is where the item he needed was. Hermes then gave Perseus a sword which could not be broken by the Gorgon's scales. Then, Athena gives Perseus her shield so he will be able to look into that to see Medusa and not be turned into stone.  The Gray Women tell him the directions and he finds winged sandals,a magic wallet, and a cap that made the wearer invisible awaiting him.
  • Restoring the World
  • Perseus goes and kills Medusa while the three Gordons were sleeping with Athena's help and puts her head in the wallet that Hermes gave him.
  • 
  • Perseus saves Andromeda who was supposed to be given up to be devoured by a serpent. He falls in love with her immediately, and after killing the serpent, he asks Andromeda's parents for her hand in marriage and they gladly give it to him. With her he sailed back home.
  • Perseus arrives to find out that his family had been taking refuge in a temple from the king who was furious of Danae's refusal to marry him. Perseus went to the Kind Polydectes's banquet and took out the head of Medusa, turning everyone to stone.Perseus freed the islanders of the cruel king. His mother decided to go back to Greece with Andromeda where they found out that Acrisius had died, and they lived happily ever after.
