Storyboard Text

  • My favorite thing about 7th grade history
  • The best thing we learned about in social studies this year was the American Revolution.
  • My least favorite thing about 7th grade history
  • And then came... learning about the Native Americans, such as the Aztec, Inca, and Mayans.
  • Advice for upcoming seventh graders in Mr. Read's social studies class
  • Always use your previous packets to help you answer the study guides!
  • I loved learning about the American Revolution and how our country became independent, great, and powerful. It is exciting to learn about all the different wars and the details of them. I wish we were able to learn about the Civil War!
  • Advice for upcoming seventh graders on junior high
  • I didn't enjoy the Aztec, Mayan, and Incan units. It was fun, but it wasn't as exciting or interesting as any of the others. I wasn't really able to relate to that time period.
  • What I will miss in seventh grade
  • I will really miss my classmates from this year.
  • Using the Web-Quests from the previous chapter and those correct answers will make the study guide go incredibly fast. You can finish the study guide without having homework this way. It helped me when I wouldn't have time to work on the assignment after school.
  • What I am looking forward to next year
  • It really helps to have a friend who knows how the building works and what the rules are. It was difficult at first when I had to be in a brand new building, but this really helped! My friends also helped me have people to sit with at lunch so I wasn't lonely. When in doubt, give a shout!
  • Having older friends can really be an advantage.
  • I had really good classmates this year. A lot of my friends were in my rotation and I couldn't ask for a better group! They helped me to be happy even on bad days. My friends also woke me up when I was tired.
  • I think that being in the eighth grade will certainly make a difference. I'm looking forward to more responsibility and freedom. I won't have to worry about not knowing any teachers, and I won't have to worry about if the eighth graders will be mean. (They will be nice next year.)
  • I'm looking forward to being in the oldest grade in our building next year.
