  • Oh yeah
  • French Revolution
  • Why do you always side with Hamilton?
  • Cause he´s always right
  • Hamilton's job is to get U.S. out of debt. His 3 steps are to get rid of state debt, create bank system and increase revenue. Jefferson did not like the plan because it went against his strict viewing of the Constitution. Washington set an example by allowing changes to the Constitution.
  • A tax was put on whiskey, which upset farmers in Pennsylvania who destroyed a tax inspectors home. Government wanted to show they had control, so they created a military with militia always available. Washington set an example of having control by creating a military.
  • Hamilton wanted to keep out of the French Revolution, but Jefferson wanted to help. Washington agreed with Hamilton and created the Proclamation of Neutrality. The proclamation said the U.S would stay out. Washington set an example by saying they were not going to engage in other wars unless the U.S. benefitted.
