Storyboard Text

  • I wish I was at the beach
  • Are you chewing gum?!
  • I will not use the word pen instead I will use the word Frindle
  • In the beginning of the story Frindle Nick was unpredictable because In third grade he decided to turn Miss Deaver's room into a tropical island and he made the great blackbird discovery.
  • If I catch a kid using the word Frindle they will stay after school and write a sentence 100 times!
  • However Mrs. Granger was harsh at the start because if kids were caught chewing gum she would make the person put the gum on a note card and safety pin it on their shirt.
  • Frindle is in the dictionary?!
  • In the middle of the story, Nick decided to use the word Frindle instead of the word pen which annoyed teachers. He also kept on trying to stall Mrs. Granger. I think his action in the middle of the story shows he is irritating.
  • A story always needs a villain, so decided to be it.
  • Mrs. Granger was different in the middle. If she caught a kid using the word frindle the kid would stay after school and write a sentence 100 times. I believe these actions shows that Mrs. Granger is wicked.
  • At the end of the story Nick was wise. I say this because he persuaded kids to bring their own lunches to school every day until the school serves better food, which worked and his word frindle became part of the dictionary.
  • I also think at the end of the story, Mrs. Granger was sage. I say this because she knew the only way to make frindle more popular was to have a villain which she decided to be.
