  • The U.S. public panics, as the launch of Sputnik 1 creates a technological gap between the U.S. and Russia in the middle of the Cold War.
  • We'll figure something out.
  • What are we gonna do??!!!!
  • Under President Dwight D. Eisenhower, NASA is created to catch up with Russia.
  • We need to catch up. Put a group of scientists together to work on our own satellite.
  • On it, sir!
  • On October 1, 1958, NASA officially begins.
  • Let's get started, shall we?

  • We've done it!!
  • July 20, 1969, NASA is successful in sending Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin to be the first people on the moon.
  • To this day, the achievements of NASA has made people fascinated with space, and what lies beyond it.
