Mexico had been hit with an earthquake of a 7.1 magnitude in September 2017.
When the earthquake hit, we luckily were outside of our apartment complex
The earthquake collapsed hundreds of houses and damaged thousands more. Families had to live outside their homes until they could either be re-built or destroyed. People would risk going inside just to grab necessities or personal items.
Thousands were hurt during the earthquake, little to none had access to hospitals and the ones who did fought over the little rooms that were left
People where even fighting over food and other necessities in the stores. Over items that any other day would be looked past upon while shopping.
Once everything was said and done there were 370 casualties, my grandparents included two of them. It destroyed our family equal to what a wild bear would have done.
it is terrible to believe that people are still out partying while their country sits in ruins. They could be using that money to help the cities re-build instead.
