  • Macbeth first starts off as a brave fighter. Then he sees the witches were they tell him his prophecy. At but he is confused because " the Thane of Cawdor lives"(Macbeth, I, iii, 72). This leads to his curiosity.
  • Act IV Evil
  • Lady Macbeth has a plan to murder King Duncan so Macbeth can be king. She tells him to ," look like th' innocent flower, but be the serpent underneath"(Macbeth I,7,62-63). At first Macbeth has doubts because Duncan made him Thane of Glamis. But than Lady Macbeth manipulates him and turns him to the dark side.
  • Act V Macbeth's Downfall
  • Macbeth becomes power hungry. He tries to get rid of all the things that are a threat to his power. He tells the murderers, "know Banquo was your enemy"(Macbeth, III, 116). This shows that he will do anything for power including killing his friend. He also tries to kill Banquo's son but his son flees.
  • What Lead to Macbeth's Downfall
  • Macbeth lets evil consume him when he goes back to the witches to his his future. He learns that Macduff and Malcom are a threat to his power. To eliminate that threat Macbeth says he will kill Macduff's "wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls"(Macbeth, IV, 152). Macbeth becomes ruthless and has bad ambitions.
  • The English and the Scottish joined together to overthrow and kill Macbeth. Macbeth cannot be overthrown "till Birnam Wood remove to Dunsinane"(Macbeth V, 2).When they arrive at Macbeths Castle he is overly confident and believes no man born of women can defeat him. MacduffKills Macbeth.
  • Macbeth starts off a a brave fighter. He gets manipulated by Lady Macbeth. After his first murder he becomes a ruthless killer. He kills everyone in n his way.He becomes power hungry and lets evil consume him. He is arrogant and believs no one can defeat him untill Macduff tells him that he was " from his mother's womb/ ultimately ripped(Macbeth ,V 15-16). That is what lead to Macbeths downfall.
