  • Act I Brave, Courageous, Unsure
  • "Like valor's minion, carved out his passage Till he faced the slave; Which ne'er shook hands, nor bade farewell to him, Till he unseamed him from the nave to th' chops (The Tragedy of Macbeth, I, ii, 19-22).
  • Act II Weak, Ambitious, Guilty
  • "I'll go no more. I am afraid to think what i have done. Look on 't again I dare not" (Macbeth, II, iii, 48-50).
  • Act III Bloodthirsty, Paranoid, Guilty
  • "[to the Ghost]. Thou canst not say I did it. Never shake Thy glory lock at me"(Macbeth, II, iv, 50-51).
  • Macbeth is very brave in act I. The captain was telling King Duncan how Macbeth saved his life by being brave and killing them enemy. He becomes unsure and has evil thoughts once he is given the prophecy.
  • Act IV Paranoid, Bloodthirsty, Careful
  • "The castle of Macduff I will surprise, seize open Fife, give to th' edge o' th' sword His wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls" (Macbeth, IV, ii, 150-152)
  • Macbeth is weak in this Act because, he lets Lady Macbeth walk all over him as she tries to convince him to kill King Duncan so they can become king faster. He is ambitious about becoming king so, he goes through with the plan to kill Duncan. He is very guilty right after he has killed Duncan and refuses to go back and return the daggers he brought with him
  • Act V Over-Confident, Ruthless, Nervous
  • "She should have died hereafter; There would have been a time for such a word." (Macbeth, V, v, ).
  • Macbeth starts off the Act bloodthirsty because, he wants Banquo and his son Fleance dead. He is paranoid that Banquo's son will become king because that was his prophecy. Macbeth soon becomes even more paranoid because the murderers only killed Banquo and not his son. He also becomes guilty and starts to imagine banquos ghost at the feast.
  • Macbeth's Downfall
  • Macbeth starts off the act paranoid and goes to the witches to see if he can change his prophecy. Once they tell him his new prophecies he decides that even though Macduff can't hurt him that he is going to have a surprise attack on his castle because he betrayed him. He because bloodthirsty because he wants everybody from Macduff's castle dead but, he also becomes careful because he doesnt want any chances of him loosing the throne.
  • Macbeth starts off the act very very confident that he was going to win the war. As the act goes on you begin to notice that Macbeth gets very ruthless. His servant brings him news that his wife has died and he doesn't feel remorse he just said he wished that she died after the war ended. He then becomes nervous that the witches have lied to him about his prophecy because his servant tells him that the forest was moving towards them.
  • Many things have helped lead to Macbeth's downfall. He was overly confident and was very selfish because he just wanted to become king as soon as possible. Once he became king he then realized that he not only wanted to just be king he wanted his sons to be kings after him> that meant that he needed to kill his friend Banquo and his son Fleance. He then becomes over confident in the war that was taking place and that's what ultimately ended up being his downfall.
