  • Sure! Niccolò Machiavelli was an Italian diplomat, politician, historian, philosopher, humanist, and writer of the Renaissance period.
  • He was most known for his book, "The Prince" for politicians. This book dubbed him the title "Father of Modern Political Theory."
  • What did the book state?
  • It stated that as a ruler, it is better to be widely feared than greatly loved
  • Sounds like SSR...
  • Machiavelli's work still even applies today! The political thought of the book is just as relevant as it is now. 
  • In "The Prince", Machiavelli recognized the existence of power politics and connected it to science
