The Lady or the Tiger

In the olden time, there was a semi-barbaric king. The king used poetic justice to decide if someone is innocent or guilty. The accused gets to pick a door with either a tiger or a lady behind it. Choosing the tiger would be death and choosing the lady would mean a huge wedding.
The semi-barbaric king had a daughter who fell in love with a man who was the lowness of stations. The king found out about his daughter's love and he did not approve of the man. The princess' love was sentenced to his fate.
The king chose the fiercest beast and the fairest maiden. The princess knows the fairest maiden and is jealous of her when it comes to her love. The princess find out which door has the tiger and which door has the maiden.
The day has finally come. The handsome young man is in the arena and looks over to the princess. He asks which door he should open and the princess quickly motions right without any hesitation.
The young man walks to the door on the right without a hesitation and opens the door.
A beautiful maiden walks out of the door. The man was found innocent and was married instantly. The priest came out and there were dancing maidens in the back. Flowers were thrown in the mans path, but the only thing on his mind was the princess. He looked over to her and she mouthed "I love you and I want you to be happy without me." The princess quickly stood up and left the arena.
