Storyboard Text

  • Have you ever wondered what "Pre Columbian" meant? Well, that's why I'm here.
  • It means "of or relating to the history and cultures of the Americas before the arrival of Columbus in 1492."
  • Before Columbus, Paleo-Indians were the inhabitants of the Americas. Scientific studies show that these Indians came from Africa and Asia.
  • My name is Columbus and I am the founder of America!
  • Even though there were people who already lived there, he called it the "New World." He thought he was in India, so he called the people Indians.
  • Many religions that the Natives practiced are still active. Large civilizations like the Aztecs, Olmecs, and Mayans were around during that time period.
  • We had our own civilization, but when Columbus came, they brought diseases and we got very sick.
  • This chocolate is so delicious! Did you know that the Aztecs and Mayans were the Creators of Chocolate? THE END
