Storyboard Description

Two gravediggers dig a grave for Ophelia. Hamlet talks to Horatio about how death treats everyone equally. At Ophelia’s funeral, Hamlet and Laertes fight over who loved Ophelia more. Later, Hamlet explains that he exchanged the king’s letter with one of his own. When Rosencrantz and Guildenstern present it to the King of England, they, instead of Hamlet, will be killed. Hamlet and Laertes have the duel that had been planned. The results are fatal to Hamlet, Laertes, the king, and the queen. Fortinbras returns from Poland and claims his position as the new King of Denmark.

Storyboard Text

  • Horatio and Hamlet visit a graveyard
  • Who is that, M'lord?
  • It's my old jester friend. Real shame about what happened. He was pretty comedic at times
  • But during Ophelia's funeral, this happens...
  • I HATE YOU SO MUCH!!! My family's gone because of you!
  • Laertes, please! This is no way to behave at a funeral!
  • And on the day of the duel between Laertes and Hamlet, Gertrude drinks a cup of POISONED wine and dies!
  • Glug, glug, glug. Oh, it's lethal. Darn! (dies)
  • NOOOO!!!
  • Hamlet and Laertes both stab each other with a poisined sword. Laertes is the first to go, but before he does...
  • I have a confession to make. Claudius set this whole thing up to kill you. (dies)
  • Oh, no.
  • Hamlet believed Laertes. It was pretty obvious about what he did next.
  • YOOWWW!!! Oh, how I've wasted my life! (dies)
  • The end...?
  • Finally, Hamlet is killed by the poison. But before he takes off...
  • Got it.
  • Give the crown to Fortinbras and hold a funeral for me.
