How the Gods got their powers
The purpose of this story is to explain what Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades did to get their power.
A long time ago, there was a war. It was between Cronus and the titans v.s. Cronus's children: Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.
The war lasted for 10 years until Hades released a Cyclops. In gratefulness, the cyclops gave them each a power. Zeus a thunderbolt, Poseidon a trident, and Hades a helmet of darkness. With these powers, they defeated Cronus and the tritans.
Since defeating Cronus, they became the 3 rulers of existence. They decided to draw lots to determine their domains. Zeus drew the sky
Poseidon drew water
And Hades drew the underworld. They decided that they would rule each area. That is how Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades got their powers.
