hi I'm kara and today I am here at the Tibet-Qinghai platau. this platau is also known as "the roof of the world" because it is 13,500 ft tall. because it is so tall it snows all year long.
Right now I am in the Taklimakan desert. This desert covers 105,000 SQ miles. this desert is very dangerous and it's name means “once you go in, you will not come out.
I am in the northeastern plain. here they have short warm summers and cold winters. in the winter time these rivers freeze and become roads.
I am in the north China plain. the china plain contains one of the longest rivers in the world, the yellow river. the yellow river is full of chemicals and yellow silt.
the Gobi desert is over 500,000 square miles and is one of the worlds largest deserts. most of the desert is made up of rocks and pebbles.
To end off my travels I am now in The Chang Jiang Basins. these are an area of a wet and low costal plains. the climate is wet and warm but is not suitable for crops.
