  • Scene 6
  • "Nicolae Ceausescu, all around nasty piece of work and Communist Dictator of Soviet Roumania. Responsible for the dog problem in Roumania by industrialising the country, not allowing dogs and pets in the flats that he ordered people to live in. He was disposed of in 1989 on Christmas day by his own Generals, but the new government in Roumania did nothing to sort the problem which then turned into a humanitarian crisis that is getting worse as we speak three decades on.
  • "Ceausescu was disposed of in 1989 on Christmas day and a new government installed. However this new government struggled to keep the dog problem under wraps and accidentally made it worse. The problems are worse now for both dogs and humans in Romania. Today there are hundreds of millions of these dogs roaming the country, frightened scared and afraid and being butchered each day as they cannot keep a stable number of them.
  • However, we at SFAR believe that animals should not suffer for mans sins and we must help as many of these poor animals as we can. We take these dogs from Roumania and try to keep them in our shelters in the UK but we need help. Sponsor a dog, adopt a dog or donate to our shelter as we are heavily needing donations. Because nothing is better than a happy dog!
