Before he was a NBA champion, Kyrie Irving was little kid from Australia. He was born March 22, 1992
As he got older, Kyrie began to love basketball. In high school, he was ranked the #4 high school player in the world, and #1 high school point guard in the world by ESPN.
Irving eventually went to Duke for college , but the injured his foot in a game in December of 2010 and would not return Duke. He entered the draft and was selected 1st in the 2011 draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Irving averaged 21 points in his first 3 seasons and went to 3 all star games, including an all star game MVP in 2014 and Rising star game MVP in 2012.
Kyrie made to the the NBA Finals against the Warriors in 2015 , but the the Cavaliers came up short after Irving fractured his knee in Game 1. They lost in 6 games.
The next year, Kyrie made it back to the Finals in 2016. Coming into the game, he was averaging 27 points in the Finals. In the Finals this year, Kyrie averaged 27 points. In game 5, Kyrie and Lebron each had 41 points, which was the most by a duo in Finals history. In game 7, Kyrie had 26 and hit the game winning shot to give the Cavaliers their first ever NBA championship. Its pretty obvious that he is my favorite player. He's accomplished all this and he's only 24 years old. He's got a long way to go and a bright future.
