Storyboard Text

  • While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door. “ ’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
  • This widower, Amston, whose wife has died was about to fall asleep until he heard someone knock at his door
  • But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door— Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door— Perched, and sat, and nothing more
  • When Amston opened the door a raven flew in, sat still, and did nothing else.
  • Ghastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore— Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian shore!” Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore.”
  • Amston asks the raven, "Why are you here?" To Amston's surprise, the raven reply's with "Nevermore".
  • Amston is angered at this mysterious raven. And yells at them, "Why are you here, are you a demon sent from hell?! Are you the devil himself?! Tell me your true purpose!" But the raven only replies with "Nevermore".
  • Desolate, yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted— On this home by Horror haunted—tell me truly, I implore— Is there—is there balm in Gilead?—tell me—tell me, I implore!” Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore.”
  • And the lamp-light o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor; And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor Shall be lifted—nevermore!
  • Amston's mind is at it's limits and can't bare the raven anymore. While the raven remains in its statue like posture and watches Amston suffer.
  • The theme of this story is to not dwell on loss. And accept when someone and something is gone.
  • Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn, It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore— Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore.” Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore.”
