Odysseus and his men are about to poke the Cyclops in the eye with a big sword. The blue bowl represents the wine that Odysseus gave the cyclops as an offering. The theme in this scene is to be smart about what you do in a certain situation because it could have an affect on you later. The scene shows this by displacing Odysseus and his men putting a sword into Cyclops' eye. This could affect them later on because they are going hurt the Cyclops and he is going to want to get revenge on them for it.

Odysseus's men tie him up and put earwax in his ear to protect him from hearing the soothing songs sung by thr Sirens as they pass the island. The sirens sing songs to lure people to the island. The theme in this scene is to protect yourself and others when danger lies ahead. The scene show is because it displays Odysseus being tied up with a rope and his men did this to protect him. So that he could not escape onto the island.

Odysseus tells Telemachus the plan of how they are going to deal with the suitors. Odysseus tells him the plan at Eumaeus' hut in Ithaca. The theme is always plan out or know exactly what you are going to before you go put it into action. The scene shows this by displaying Odysseus telling Telemachus the plan and how they are going to execute the plan.
