Storyboard Text

  • PING PING
  • Hazel and George were watching dancers but George is forced to experience unsettling sounds because of the ear handicap he has on, which is supposed to make him "less" intelligent by distracting him. Hazel doesn't fully understand the things George, but wants to experience it with him.
  • I wish I could experience all those sounds you hear. I can't even image the ranges of different noises!
  • If you were to take any handicap off, there would be a strict punishment to pay for. Plus, our world might not be 'equal' anymore.
  • Hazel thinks that the handicaps he has results in George being tired. She suggests taking some of the handicaps off. George explains the cruel punishments that can happen if anything is misplaces within his handicaps.
  • You look a little exhausted, maybe we could lighten up that bag...
  • While Hazel and George watch the dancers, the program gets interrupted for an announcement that Harrison Bergeron, their son, has escaped from jail, and everyone needs to be aware and careful.
  • Harrison Bergeron has escaped from jail, please take notice and stay safe---
  • During the announcement, Harrison ended up barging in, chanting that he was the emperor. He wanted an empress to pair with him so they could dance and be together.
  • I'll do it!
  • I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE RESTRAINTS, THEY ARE JUST HOLDING ME BACK
  • YOU HAVE ALL DONE ME WRONG. I AM THE EMPEROR. A WOMAN SHALL WORK ALONGSIDE ME AND WE SHALL DANCE TO MUSIC!
  • Harrison takes off the handicaps of others in the room and tries to dance to music with his empress.
  • No one should have any handicaps. Now, we should show people what dancing looks like.
  • Hazel watches the scene unfold and sees Diana Moon Clampers shoot Harrison and the dancer for disrespecting the government. Diana threatens to shoot others if they don't put their handicaps back on. George walks in the room, not completely noticing the murders, and asked Hazel what was wrong and to forget about sad things. Meanwhile, Hazel already has forgotten the events that unfolded right in front of her eyes.
  • Something was really sad though, but the moment is already forgotten.
  • Don't think about bad things, keep yourself happy... forget whatever it was that made you sad.
  • EVERYBODY PUT THEIR HANDICAPS ON WITHIN TEN SECONDS, OR ELSE.
