  • In the story, he explains what the marsh looks like. he talks about the bleeding tree and the woods and grass
  • the style of The Scarlet ibis is that he did not have any pride towards his brother. he dosesn't have any because his brother is different. 
  • the theme of the scarlet ibis is love and guilt. he does love his brother, but he is guilty because he pushed him too much to be normal and that resulted in doodle dying.
