Moses' mother placed him in a basket on the river Nile to protect him from the Pharoh's soldiers who had been ordered to kill all male Israelites babies.
Moses grew up in the house of the Pharaohs sister, with the Pharaoh's son.
One day Moses came across a man beating a Hebrew slave. He killed the slave-driver with one blow and then fled Egypt.
God appeared to Moses in a burning bush telling him to return to Egypt to free the Israelite people.
Moses petitions the Pharaoh to let the Israelites go and when he refuses God sends a series of plagues upon Egypt.
The Pharaoh eventually lets the Israelites go but changes his mind and sends soldiers after them. They are caught at the Red Sea but God parts the waters to allow the Israelites through.
