Paraphrase: She will forget him tonight! Her heart and mind, tonight. Her heart may forget the warmth he gave, She will forget the good memories. When her feelings disappear, the thoughts may too But while her heart might feel sometimes, she may remember him!
Connotation: She wants to let go and forget a past lover.
Attitude: Sorrowful, but determined to forget her past lover. She knows she may still remember him although those feelings are gone, he may still linger in her memories.
Shift: In the beginning, she states she she will forget him, the light and warmth he gave, but towards the end, while the feelings are gone, she states: "Haste! lest while you're lagging, I may remember him!"
Title: After reading this poem, we can conclude that she wants to forget someone and leave them in the past, their light and warmth, we can assume it's a past lover.
Theme: Although it may be a difficult journey to let go and forget a lover, and even though you may think you're over them completely, even though the feelings are gone, it's okay if they still remain a part of your memories.
