Storyboard Text

  • George Washington Carver was born sometime in 1864. He was born into slavery but was stolen by slave raiders but then recovered. He was kept by his owners when slavery ended. He left his home to seek a better education in Minneapolis Kansas. After that Carver left to go to Ames, Iowa to start his botanist studys.
  •  He found over 300 things to make with Peanuts. Carver also made 118 things with Sweet Potatoes.
  • I discovered ground breaking research or plant biography.
  • Carver invented many products using Sweet Potatoes and Peanuts so there was a market for them when the farmers went to sell them.
  • I'm the one that told Farmers to rotate their crops to restore the nitrogen levels in the soil.
  • He remade many products that used non renewable resources to renewable resources.
  • I made a rubber replacement using Peanuts.
  • Also thanks to Carver we use many renewable resources instead of non-renewable resources.
  • I still use crop rotation today
  • I still use things that George Washington Carver made with Peanuts and such as dyes and flour
  • Wow that is so cool!
  • George Washington Carver taught at Tuskegee University and he revived many offers from different colleges but he only went to Tuskegee University.
