There Once were two kings from medieval Rome, You will first see them in their "lovely" homes. Then there are their religious beliefs, And then some things that would make you grief So just sit back and relax, As you take a journey to the past.
Clovis was a very cruel and self-interested king. He was Pagan, until he started praying to his wife's god (She was Christian). Once, he had he started to win battles.
Charlemagne was cruel and brutal like Clovis, but was considered by the the people a great leader. He was the Christian ruler of the Franks, and one of his goals was to concur all of W. Europe.
This is Charlemagne's encounter with the Saxon's. He collected all of the leaders of the Saxons and chopped their heads off. He was more powerful than any other ruler in Europe after this.
Off with your heads!
Charlemagne and the Pope had many problems since the Pope had crowned him in 800 A.D. It annoyed Charelmagne because when he did that it seemed like he was trying to say he had more power than God.
Charlemagne taught his people grammar, logic, and mathematics.
