Storyboard Text

  • "Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?"
  • "I do bite my thumb, sir".
  • "Now, by the stock and honor of my kin, To strike him dead I hold it not a sin".
  • The Montagues and the Capulets have a sword fight as they still have an ancient grudge against each other. Prince Escalus, the owner of Verona made it a law that violence between the two houses was not to be permitted on his streets.
  • "For this alliance may so happy prove To turn your households' rancor to pure love."
  • There is a ball at the Capulet's house and Romeo wants to crash the party and get over Rosaline.
  • "A plague o' both your houses!" 
  • Tybalt notices Romeo and draws out his sword. However, Lord Capulet stops him and then Romeo and Juliet meet and fall in love.
  • "And for that offence Immediately we do exile him hence".
  • After Romeo confesses his love for Juliet, they decide to get married. Friar Lawrence holds their secret wedding with only the nurse knowing and neither of the heads of each family knowing about the marriage. 
  • Due to Romeo refusing to fight Tybalt who is now his kinsman, Mercutio, his best friend decides to fight him . Romeo tries to stop the fight but Tybalt stabs Mercutio under Romeo's hand and he then falls to the ground. Before he died, his last words were cursing both the families.
  • With Romeo angry about his friend's death, he fights Tybalt and kills him. Prince Escalus arrives in Verona and sees the two bodies. He doesn't sentence Romeo to death but instead banishes him from the town.
