  • Act 2, Scene 4 Montague's House Hannah Anderson
  • "Where the devil should this Romeo be? Come he not home tonight?" (2.4.1&2)
  • Benvolio and Mercutio realize that Romeo was never home. They think he is with Rosaline.
  • "Not to his father's. I spoke with his man." (2.4.3)
  • "He fights as you sing prick-song, keeps time, distance, and proportion." (2.4.20&21)
  • Benvolio and Mercutio fin out that Tybalt has sent Romeo a letter for a duel. Mercutio tells Benvolio that Tybalt has good fighting skills.
  • "Tybalt, the kinsman to old Capulet, Hath sent a letter to his father's house." (2.4.7&8)
  • "Good, Peter, to hide her face, her fan's the fairer face." (2.4.52&53)
  • The nurse comes to speak with Romeo, but Mercutio insults and talks inappropriate to her.
  • "My fan, Peter." (2.4.51)
  • "Bid her devise some means to come to shrift this afternoon. And there she shall at Friar Lawrence cell. Be shrived and married." (2.4.84-88)
  • Romeo tells the nurse that Juliet should make an excuse to com to Friar Laurence's church, where they will get married.
