Clark recieved a letter in the mail from his uncle. It informed him that his aunt was coming to town, and he needed to meet her a the train station.
The next day he set off to the train station. His Aunt Georgiana was the last one to depart the train.
Was taking her here a mistake?
His landlady, Mrs. Springer, took her right to bed. Clark wondered why Mrs. Springer wasn't as shocked at his aunt's physique as he was.
I don't want to go ,Clark, I don't want to go!
As Mrs. Springer showed Aunt Georgiana to her room, Clark thought back to when he was young. He thought of when his aunt would help learn Latin as she ironed.
Clark wondered whether his aunt would be embarassed of the way she's dressed or become too overwhelmed of the seemingly new world.
Continuously throughout the maitnée Aunt Georgiania cried at the magnificient songs. Once it was over she didn't want to leave all this greatness and return to her mundane routine.
