1803 Thomas Jefferson purchased the Louisiana territory and wants Louis and Clark to search it.
1805 They meet a woman named Sacagawea and she is the translator for them. She translates languages from the other tribes Lewis and Clark make peace with. She gives them horses and advice for what to eat and what not to. During the winter they stayed at fort Mandan with the Core of Discovery and wait till spring arrives to finish the mission they were sent for.
1806-1838 Meriwether Lewis dies on 1806 1 year after the expedition. Many people believe that he commited suicide. Others say that he was murdered is is arguable. William Clark died 32 years after Lewis died.
