The French North American colony of Quebec started in 1608 by Samuel de Champlain on the St. Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada
Before the French Came, the Amerindians of St. Lawrence Iroquians lived there
The French first used it as a trading post between France and the Americas however when they saw that it had an abundant source of fish, timber, and furs, they decided to stay
The interactions were ok. The Amerindians were content because the French did not enslave them or force them to change their ways of life. The French were content because the Amerindians minded their buisiness and let the French do what they pleased
I think the French thought they found a way to establish power in the Americas and improve their economy while the Amerindians thought they were getting an opportunity to have a better life
The government in Quebec was reformed around the lines of the government in France. There was a minister in charge of different sections of the government as well as a minister in charge of the military
