Who are you?
I am lung cancer, the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States!
Well what do you do lung cancer?
I am the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells that do not develop into healthy lung tissue. This tissue is needed in order for the lungs to take in oxygen and rid the body of carbon dioxide. If you are not careful, I will shut down your respiratory system!
What brought you here?
Well... I am caused by many things such as exposure to asbestos, radon gas, or even a family history of my disease. However, the greatest risk of getting me includes smoking or second hand smoke.
You have been smoking for a long time and now you must come with me!
