  • The River
  • Well shoot....
  • The Boats
  • You cannot just take away my boats! I'll see you hanged for this crime!!!
  • Sorry, man. General's orders.
  • The Escape
  • After escaping the British, General Washington and his army come across the edge of the  Delaware River. Now, they must find a way to escape before the Redcoats catch up to them, and arrest them all.
  • The Crossing
  • 'Cross the river', he said. 'We'll be fine', he said!!!
  • General Washington decided the only way to get away was to sail down the river. The only problem was, they needed the boats that they lacked.
  • The Battle
  • We did it!!!
  • Before the army could leave in their new boats, they were attacked by the British. After fighting them off and losing multiple men, they managed to escape.
  • The Aftermath
  • Are you mad?! The men are exhausted. Their even sleeping in the roads!
  • I won't eat, or sleep until we're out of British hands!
  • George Washington decided to ambush the Hessians in Trenton the morning after Christmas. To do this however, they would need to cross the Delaware River again for about 10 hours. This time however, they were caught in a massive and painful blizzard. The Continental Army was now both exhausted, and freezing.
  • The soldiers finally arrived in Trenton. After a successful battle, the Hessians surrendered. The Americans had had their first victory in months.
  • Even after they were victorious, General Washington commanded they begin their journey back over the river to escape the Britians, who would be coming soon.
