  • Come on Raymond, stay on the inside of the buildings and keep up.
  • How's it going Raymond?
  • Dont talk to him!
  • Gonna give someone a break this year Hazel?
  • At the beggening of the story, Squeaky, the main character is running down broadway and practicing her breathing exercises in counts of seven. On the side, she watches Raymond, her mentally challenged brother by keeping him from running off.
  • Hey your shoes are untied!
  • As Squeaky runs down the sidewalk she runs into a group of girls that pick on Raymond and will be her future contestants in the race.
  • Come on Squeaky you must win.
  • Hey Raymond maybe I could coach you. And Gretchen could help.
  • Squeaky prepares herself for the race as she watches Raphael Perez win as he pshycs the runners out.
  • Squeaky prepares herself just before the race and tells herself she must win
  • Squeaky wins the race and thinks about coaching Raymond.
