  • A Warning from the Seminoles
  • THE STORM IS COMING!!!
  • It's just a little wind.
  • The First Sings
  • Looks like them Indians was right.
  • I think so Tea Cake, we need to go.
  • A Chance  to Leave
  • Tea Cake ad the people of the 'Glades town observe Indians heading towards Palm Beach. Janie asked the Indians "where are you going ?" The Indians then replied saying, "Going to higher ground. Saw-grass bloom. Hurricane coming."
  • Waters Rising
  • The rain begins to pour down over the Muck. People are packing up and leaving with their families, but not Tea Cake and Janie. Tea Cake is worried that if he and Janie leave, they will miss out on making money on the Muck.
  • Brace For Impact
  • Men and their families begin to evacuate the town, intending to reach Palm Beach before the big storm. Tea Cake, Janie, and a few others stay back on the Muck because they believe it will be the safer option.
  • The Recovery and the Fall
  • Tea Cake, is that you?!!!!
  • We're okay Tea Cake
  • The sea level of Lake Okeechobee begins to rise, overflowing into the Muck. The furious winds that were brought in with the storm picks up debris from the Muck, carrying them into the village.
  •  "Walking the earth with a heavy heel", waves crashed into the town, lifting houses and roofs. Carrying animals, trees, and other things that should not be out of place. Violently thrown around by the waters of Lake Okeechobee. Houses struck like tsunamis, dead bodies, creatures struggling to stay afloat, struggling to survive the beast.
  • Things begin to settle down, the water is settling back into its place. Tea Cake, Janie, Motor Boat, have survived. There are dead bodies everywhere, houses without roofs, roofs without houses.  Tea Cake and Janie have come back from Palm Beach.
  • Thank God we survived.
