Kansas Nebraska Act
This compromise admitted California as a free state. It also allowed new states and territories to decide it they wanted to be a free state or a slave state by popular sovereignty (popular vote).
The Dred Scott case
Georgia wasnt very involved. Georgia approved of the Compromise of 1850 because of the fugitive slave act. The created less tension between the Northerners and the Southerners. Georgia did not want to secede because it was against the law.
This act allowed territories and states to vote by popular sovereignty if they wanted to become a free state or a slavery state . It canceled the compromise of 1850. Georgia had no impact on this deal.
dred scoot was a slave and his master took him to wisconsin and they said that he was not free so he tried to sue his master and they said that he cant do that because he not a real person to the white people
Slavery was a big part of the cause of the civil war. The war progression was accelerated with the election of Abraham Lincoln.
