  • Kids in the colonies had to work with there fathers at age 8
  • Kids in the colonies had to work with there father's
  • When boys turned 11 they left there house hold and went to go be apprentices, they worked for free for 7 years and then were able to start there own buisness
  • The dictionary is a great resource
  • Girls were never apprenticed but some have, when Girl's were 13 or 14 they were sent to different house holds to learn specialized skills like weaving and cheese making

  • In the colonies school was really important. They taught the kids how to count and learn there abc's
  • The dictionary was a great resource back in the colonies the kids were being teached how to read the dictionary
  • Students were also taught manners and were taught proper behavior
