Storyboard Text

  • Calpurnia
  • Aunt Alexandra
  • Bob and Mayella Ewell
  • Calpurnia is a close friend of Atticus and the other Finches. She's a housekeeper and somewhat of a second mother toward the Finch kids (Jem and Scout), who she's very protective of . She has somewhat of split personalities; around the Finches she's strict and straightforward, while in church and around family and friends, she's very easygoing and actually talks different. But she might have different personalities, but she's the same person - a very protective, kindhearted and motherly family member, despite being looked down upon for being African American.
  • Tom Robinson
  • Aunt Alexandra is the older sister of Atticus Finch; making her the aunt of Jem and Scout. She's quite noticably strict and opinionated. When it comes to the way Scout and Jem are raised she's very critical and controlling - thinking that the young men should be working hard every day and the young women should be learning to sew and wear dresses *contradicting Scout's love of overalls*. She also has a strong disliking toward Calpurnia due to her ethnicity and personality. She love her family, she just has her own way of showing it.
  • Atticus
  • Bob and Mayella Ewell are very blunt and rude members of the Ewell family. They are very eager to fight and are quick to turn violent. When Bob's case against Tom Robinson is unsettled, he searches the town for someone to blame. During the trial, Mayella tells that Rob assaulted and raped her, in Tom's view *which is more than likely the more accurate* said she tried to seduce him in her home. They are the sources of the epithet "Disgrace of Maycomb"
  • Sam
  • Tom Robinson is an African american citizen of Maycomb. He is known to be a cripple; having a damaged left arm that's shorter than his right. He was put into trial for supposedly raping Mayella Ewell, but in his point of view, she attempted to seduce him. He was later revealed to be shot dead under the assumption that he was trying to escape prison
  • Atticus is Scout and Jem's father. He is very honorable and admirable. He refuse to talk bad about anyone behind their back, showing a strong sense of honesty and integrity. He is a lawyer and is uncontested when running for state legislature, indicating lots of skills. He was once known as the best shot in Maycomb. He wants nothing but the best for his children and would do anything for them.
