Storyboard Text

  • Cindy? I have a question about the assignment. What is a prescription Stimulant?
  • A prescription stimulant is an illegal substance that classifies as an Amphetamine.
  • What would it do to my body and mind if I were to take one?
  • Well to the body, it does a great deal of things. But the main ones are raising blood pressure and raise your heartrate.
  • Don't be insane, drugs ruin the brain!
  • But to the mind, it causes a spike in dopamine and norepinephrine, which send signals in the brain which can lead to dangerous side effects.
  • Well Jerome, people with ADHD take  stimulants, but you can find them at the doctor's office and I'm sure your mom has some in the cabinet.
  • Cindy where can I find prescription stimulants?
  • What does it look like? And where can someone go for help?
  • Jerome they are pills and you can get help from rehab centers.
