Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • What's it for?
  • I pay you to build, not to ask questions!
  • Rising Action
  • You have to stay here forever. No-one can know about this maze
  • Rising Action
  • King Minos of Crete summoned a famed inventor named Daedalus along with his son Icarus. Minos wanted Daedalus to build him a giant maze in his castle, with Daedalus not knowing what it was for.
  • Climax
  • Daedalus finished the labyrinth, and found out what it was for. The king wanted to put a Minotaur in the middle of the maze. Learning about this, he wanted to leave Crete, but the king didn't let him or Icarus go because they knew about the maze.
  • Falling Action
  • After being held captive for years, Daedalus made some wings from birds and attached them to Icarus and himself. He told his son not to get cocky and not to fly too close to the sun. They took flight and began their escape from King Minos.
  • Resolution
  • Icarus was flying through the sky and felt free. But then, he got too prideful. He thought that he could be higher than the sun.
  • I can fly higher than the sun itself!
  • Icarus started to go up higher. His father started shouting at him to come down, but his voice was drowned out by seagulls. Icarus kept going...
  • ICARUS, NO!
  • Icarus went higher, and higher, until eventually, the heat got to him. The wax that was holding his wings on melted. He fell to his death and the only thing left of Icarus, were two battered wings.
  • AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
