Isaac Newton and the Law of Gravity
This is the story of how Isaac Newton discovers the law of gravity.
Why did that apple fall?
I wonder if the same force that pulled the apple to the ground is tugging on the moon.
I'm going to drop objects to test gravity.
I'm assuming that all physical objects have a force of attraction between them.
My hypothesis was correct! The strength of the force of attraction between object depend on the masses of the object and the distance between them.
The moon and Earth tugged on each other, and the moon got stuck in orbit around Earth. In contrast, an apple had a small mass and was close to Earth, so gravity dragged it to the ground.
