  • What do white blood cells do?
  • Well Jane, they protect your body from infectious diseases and foreign invaders. It is a part of the immune season.
  • Interesting! Antibiotics are medicines that are used to treat infectious viruses and diseases. This medicine kills the bacteria and helps the immune system fight back. there are many types for specific infections.
  • My mom gives me something called antibiotics when I don't feel good. What do they do in my body?
  • A very good question. Pathogens in fact can be blocked from entering our body. There are physical barriers like our skin, our hairs, mucus, and lysosomes. Usually pathogens never get past these guards.
  • Well, I pretty much am an expert at this topic but, I have one question. Can the body make sure pathogens don't enter the skin?
