Storyboard Text

  • I covered his body pieces with the 3 pieces of planks.
  • There entered three police officers and they were here to investigate about the shriek the neighbor heard during the middle of the night.
  • Then I heard the knocking at the street door. I came and opened the door for what I now had to fear?
  • I placed it so cleverly that nobody would see a difference. Now nobody knows about this except for the bathtub.
  • I welcomed the officers and let them search around the house.
  • I explained that the shriek was from my dream and that the old man was not in the country.
  • I invited the officers to the old man's bedroom and asked them to rest in the chairs from their fatigues.
  • I was so confident that I placed my chair on the place where I buried the old man.
  • The sound became louder and louder until I could bear it no more.
  •  I began talking faster and I paced the floor with heavy strides, but the noise continued to grow.
  • It became so loud that even the officers could have heard it and they were laughing at me.
  • Dissemble no more! Here it is, tear up the planks and you'll find the beating of his hideous heart!
  • We chatted together, but soon I heard the old man's heartbeat as it got louder and faster.
