Storyboard Text

  • For our Representation we should have bicameral or a two house legislature based on population.
  • No! I believe that you bigger states will get more representation, and because of that we should have a one house with equal representation.
  • I have come up with a compromise that is so great, I'm calling the Great Compromise. We should have two houses, one for equal representation and the other proportional representation.
  • We should have proportional representation and the other people should count in the population but not for taxes.
  • No! We should have equal representation! You big states will out vote us little states, especially with the other people counted.
  • How about the other people? What are we supposed to with them?
  • I have another brilliant idea, and don't question it. I don't truly understand it either. But idea is that 3/5ths of the other people will be counted for representation and for taxes.
  • Oh dear lord...
  • No, we need a Bill of Rights to tell the people what rights they have.
  • Now, how about a Bill of Rights? Yes?
  • How about a no? We don't need a Bill of Rights at this moment, but what we need is a strong, national government.
  • The Bill of Rights can come later right now we are worried about the constitution and paying tariffs, national banks and so on.
  • No, we need state banks, free tariffs and a Bill of Rights. Remember we didn't want a strong government.
  • I wonder when this argument will ever end.
