Storyboard Text

  • 4.1. 106
  • Thou shalt continue two-and-forty hours,...
  • 4.1. 46
  • Come weep with me, past hope, past cure, past help.
  • 4.5. 14
  • Alas, alas! Help, help! My lady's dead!
  • When Friar Lawrence was giving Juliet a vial that would make Juliet appear to be dead for 42 hours so she wouldn't have to marry Paris.
  • 4.5. 36-38
  • Juliet's tone in this scene is shown from this quote. This quote shows how Juliet was feeling helpless and distressed abut marrying Paris.
  • 2.3. 90-92
  • In one respect I'll thy assistant be, for this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households' rancor to pure love
  • This scene shows dramatic irony because the audience is aware that Juliet isn't dead, but the nurse believes she is.
  • 4.5. 28-29
  • This quote shows how Capulet was personifying death by saying that it "deflowered" Juliet and that death will be his son-in-law, something only a person could be.
  • Hath death lain with thy wife. There she lies, flower as she was, deflowered by him. Death is my son-in-law. Death is my heir.
  • I blame Friar Lawrence for the mistakes that have occurred because if he didn't marry Romeo and Juliet, many things could've been avoided. Tybalt and Mercutio wouldn't have been killed because Romeo was distracted by being related to Tybalt through marriage. And Juliet wouldn't be so distressed about marrying Paris if she wasn't married to another man.
  • In this quote Capulet is comparing Juliet to a flower and is comparing death to a frost that has killed the beautiful flower.
  • Death lies on her like untimely frost upon the sweetest flower of all the field.
