Storyboard Text

  • Character #1: Snowball
  • Character #2: Farmer Jones
  • Character #3: Old Major
  • Snowball is a rival to Napoleon for control. Most animals were in favor of him, but Napoleon drove him out of the farm. Snowball represents Leon Trotsky, a rival to Stalin.
  • Event #1: Old Major spreads his ideas
  • Farmer Jones is running Manor Farm, and he neglects the farm animals and this is when the story began. He represents Czar Nicholas II, who was the ruler of Russia and his people were dissatisfied with his ruling.
  • Event #2: Snowball's kicked out
  • Old Major was the animal who started the whole "Animalism" thing. He spread his ideas to the animals, who fully supported them. Old Major is actually Karl Marx, who wrote the Communist Manifesto (The father of Communism.)
  • Event #3: Boxer's In Pain
  • Old Major gathers all of the animals in the barn and shares his idea, called "Animalism". Many of the animals thought it was a great idea. The real version of it is when Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto and shared his ideas on Communism.
  • Snowball is kicked out of the farm for basically just being a rival. Napoleon has him kicked off for "stealing his idea of the windmill". Leon Trotsky was exiled to the remote parts of the Soviet Union because he had lost in his battle for the power.
  • After working so hard on rebuilding the windmill, Boxer gets sick! They took him to the "Animal Doctor" which ended up being the slaughter house. For real events, this would show that Stalin does not care for any of his people, he only cares for himself.
