The first picture shows the expedition. This is when characters are introduced along with the setting. The second picture represents the building that both the Franks and Van Daans live in.
In the top picture, it shows people at one of the camps they were transported to during the Holocaust. The bottom picture is the resolution; Anne stopped writing in her diary, and Mr Frank returned home and read it.
