Storyboard Text

  • (4.1.106)
  • " Thou shalt continue two-and-forty hours "
  • (4.1.82-86)
  • " Or shut me nightly in a charnel house/ O'ercovered quite with dead men's rattling bones/
  • (4.5.36-38)
  • " Hath Death lain with thy wife. There she lies/ Flower as she was, deflowered by him/ Death is my son-in-law. Death is, my heir.  "
  • Friar Lawrence is talking to Juliet about what will happen to her after she drinks the substance in the vial. She will remain in a deathlike state for around 42 hours so people thinks she dead. But she really isn't,  than she will awake as if it were a  nap.
  • (4.5.28-29)
  • "Death lies on her like an untimely frost/ Upon the sweetest flower of all the field."
  • Juliet describes how the grave and grave yard will be like, how it will be moist, having horrific smells and decaying bodies around her.
  • (1.4.2-3)
  • "What shall this speech be spoke for our excuse?/ Or shall we on without apology?"
  • Lord Capulet is using a personification by comparing Juliet's unbelievable "death" to the death of a flower and explaining how everything in life is related to death.  Also how this is all his fault that she died because none of them watched over her.
  • (4.1.45-46)
  • "O'shut the door! And when thou hast done so/ Come weep with me, past hope, past cure, past help."
  • I picked this because it describes the scene as frightening and very shocking to all of them.  Her father, Lord Capulet describes her being like a pretty flower but then dying by uncommon frostbite because she "Died" unexpectedly.
  • If you could blame any character for all the mistakes that have occurred, I would blame Romeo because i all started when he went to the party. If he never would of went half of the stuff that happened wouldn't have. He would of never even met Juliet.
  • In this scene I notice Juliet's tone expressing to the Friar about the whole situation. She doesn't think anything will get better and is down crying about it.  All because she doesn't want to marry Paris.
