Scientists such as me use various systems of classification to organize all living things into certain groups.
The reason scientists classify living things is to study the diversity of life. It makes it easier for us to do this if we have organisms clasified in a logical fashion.

The group in the right are the finches which adapt and evolve rapidly to the environment. They all have the ability to fly.
the group on the left are the tortoises that are herbivores.
