  • The King and Queen talk to the people about their recent marriage and other events happening in Norway 
  • Why are you still mourning the death of your father when eventually everyone's fathers die
  • The king a queen tell Hamlet to stop mourning his fathers death and that he cannot go back to school.
  • Also, you should stay home and not go back to school because you are the next in line to be king
  • After the king and queen leave the room Hamlet talks to himself about events that have happened in the past few months
  • My father is dead. My Mother married my uncle two months after my father's death. Did my mother even grieve my father's  death or did she never love him? Why did God make suicide a sin?
  • Hamlets friend Horatio enters the room to tell him about the ghost of his father
  • I will go and look for the ghost of my father tonight so I can speak to him
  • Hello Horatio
  • what did he look like and did you speak to it
  • Hello, Hamlet. I must tell you something important. I have seen your fathers ghost. 
  • He was pale and in his armor. When I spoke to him he did not answer. He disappeared right before the rooster crowed
