  • Dred Scott was born 1795, in Southampton county, Virginia, Dred Scotts parents were slaves and then after they died in slavery he was owned by the Blow family and sence the Blow family were slaves too they died and finally he was sold to a U.S. Army Doctor, Jhon Emerson

  • Doctor Emerson was a nurse so if a slave gothurt he was the one who would take care of them and make them feel better....and while he was too busy being a nurse Dred Scott was a slave so they can be together.. and no one could get hurt because then the slaves would hurt Dred Scott...but to not make to make that not happen he became one of them instead
  • Dred Scott was a slave and social activist who served several masters before suing for his freedom. His case made it to the supreme court (Dred Scott v. Sandford ) prior to the American slave.
  • Dred Scott and his family stayed in St. Louis after his emancipation, and he found work as a porter in a local hotel. But after only a little more than a year of true freedom, Scott died from Tuberculosis on September 17, 1858
